I teach women somatic tools — body-based practices rooted in movement, breath, and ritual — to find real calm in the middle of real life. Not escape. Not perfection. Just a way back to yourself, wherever you are.

  • Group of people practicing yoga or meditation outdoors on a wooden deck overlooking the ocean, with a large covered structure overhead and the sky in the background.

    The Retreat

Escape your busy life and unwind in a beautiful, tranquil location with other women. Enjoy a peaceful atmosphere designed to help you connect with yourself and others. This is the perfect opportunity to recharge and find inner peace.

    Women's Circle

A monthly outdoor gathering at Torrey Pines — hiking, somatic movement, and circle. One morning a month to put down what you've been carrying and remember what it feels like to be in your body.

Your Questions, Answered

  • Somatic exercises are body-based practices that work with your nervous system instead of against it. Rather than thinking your way out of stress, you move through it — using breath, gentle movement, and body awareness to shift out of fight-or-flight and back into a state where you can actually function. They're simple, they're accessible, and they work even when your mind is too full to meditate.

  • When you're overwhelmed, your body is holding the stress your mind can't process. Somatic tools — like breathwork, grounding, and intentional movement — give that stored tension somewhere to go. Over time, a regular somatic practice builds what's called nervous system resilience: your body gets better at returning to calm, even when life doesn't cooperate.

  • No. The practices are designed to meet you exactly where you are — no background in yoga, fitness, or wellness required. The point isn't the shape you make with your body. It's the quality of attention you bring to it. If you're a beginner, you're genuinely welcome.

  • Ritual facilitation is the art of creating a held, intentional experience to mark a meaningful moment — a birthday, a transition, a gathering of women who want more than small talk. Janna designs and leads somatic rituals for intimate groups of up to 25 people, weaving together breathwork, movement, ceremony, and presence practices. Think cord cutting, cacao, intention setting, grounding. No awkwardness, no performance — just a few meaningful minutes that make the moment feel like it actually happened.

  • Every gathering is a little different — the size, the intention, the experience you want to create. Pricing is customized to your event. Reach out and tell me about what you're planning: how many people, what you're celebrating or marking, and what feels important to you. From there, we'll find something that works.
